"QUICK THROW DRILL
Goal: Teach infielders to get the ball off as quickly as possible after
catching the ball.
Drill: With partners about 20-25 feet apart, the partners catch and throw
the ball back and forth as quickly as possible. The fielders make sure they use
their feet to square off their shoulders to make strong throws to their
partners. The coach can set up a competition counting the number of times the
pairs successfully throw the ball back and forth."

"BAT DRILL
Goal: Teach the fielders to extend their gloves when fielding the ball.
Drill: With a bat perpendicular to a group of players, players about 6'
from the bat and a coach on the other side of the bat, the coach rolls a ball
into the bat. The players move forward, field the ball, then sprint to the coach
dropping the ball at the coach's feet. The coach then rolls a ball to the next
